please n.l. give us some idea of what is going on. we have businesses that we need to make decisions about too, this whole don't say anything until it's done is quite frustrating when trying to plan for what renderer your business will be using in 6 months and what it will be capable of.
I understand why you went quiet before but we havent prepaid for v2, so I don't think it will be the same, anyway we just need to know what to expect in the future, as I've already stated so we can plan our own business strategies.
Thanks if you're listening.

I agree but I believe that until the end of this year we will see only some plugin improvements or maybe the 1.2 with resume rendering back, camera motion blur active, stability improvements, hopefully the AutoCAD plugin... things like that
Anyway these are very nice to have but not so important to change your business plan.
Even if we get RS2 I don't see what it would mean for you.
So, it's up to you to decide if you will invest more money to buy another renderer.

some of the info I would like that would assist in knowing where we are going are the common wishlist requests that are made but get no response and they do affect what I choose to do about renderers.
e.g.
-vignetting
-shift lens
-render resume
-3dsmax plugin that wont crash so often
-stable display in 3dsmax
-undo/redo working alot better
-some sort of vr 360deg camera
I don't even want dates, just what they 'have done, will do, can do and can't do in the near future'
you must admit it does feel very lonely in maxwell land these days

Comunication is the main lack at NL.
I wrote this in a bad day
Do not take it literaly!!!
I wonder how much time would save NL, and users, if a good comunication line could be established. NL would have a much more efficient feedback to develop his product, and users will test new features, inmediately, instead of discovering them by chance two or 3 month later. Lots of known bugs reported could be avoided. If all the incomplete features that are reported as bugs, could be offitially reported as incomplete, lots of people will save their time testing and testing, and eventually reporting them, to never receive an answer...
This is discouraging, and will have an effect, no matter if you like or not.
The A team should be a connection between NL and users, but sometimes, it seems to me that, they act as a brick wall trying desesperately to stop what seems to be inconvenient wishes, in a way we never know if something that is happening in the forum gets to somebody in NL at all.
I really wonder...
I am sure this is not having a good effect at all!
All we get is silence!
Yours
Ernesto

Hi VisualImpact,
you have all the hands I can give you, but I don't think that this will impress NL very much. The last ~18 months have shown that NL don't care very much about our needs. They do what they want - I could give you ten hands or more it wouldn't make a change.
In alpha/beta-days I was impressed by the project - the development of a new renderer in direct contact with the customer in this forum... great - but sadly nothing of it is remaining .
I hope these sentences will not result in a ban...
Don't know anymore what to write in this forum without getting banned...
