Speed increase

Maxwell needs a speed increase of one order of magnitude.
Instead of 350min it should be 35min.

(They say aim for the stars and you might reach the moon  )

please more speed

maxwell is wonderfull but for good indoor this a turtle render........

please decrease speed x10

Why stop there? why not x20? Be bold!

I would like to say that the delay is related to dielectrics and indirect illumination (such as interiors)

However, I have been running tests on product shots and the images take no more than 60 minutes (under studio lighting with no dielectrics)

Ultra real with 10min setup and 60-90 min render is something that I can live with already (I can be productive with Maxwell :D )

But the indirect illumination algorithms certainly need more work.

i'll second that, maxwell 's give me really good results in those case, but it is so time consuming...

yes x20 x100 x100000

seriously Maxwell I adore but has the hour of today it for is made really too slow interior which must used refraction and reflection caustic. a complex interior in lighting must be able to be returned into 10 or 20 hour according to the size of the image has the hour of today it is impossible now have does not have all in head which Maxwell is in version beta it is true only if nl could reassured us on this point and to give to a raod map I to us it repete Maxwell it is brilliant but!!!!

sorry in french

serieusement

I second the call for a road map however unrealistic it may be, please give us some idea of what we can expect in the coming months! :) While your at it why not share with us what your plans are in the realm of network licenses?

i second this betty, a RS2 (meaning both little biased algorithm and finger option at once) would be nice.

i guess so, there's already a fast preview box (even an automatic bounce control) in the render dialog.

Just to make it clear...
I cannot speak for all, by I do not wish for Maxwell to include interpolation (biasing algorithms) and become another Vray or Brazil or Mental Ray. If that was the case I would have stayed with the alternatives.

No, no, I am just a useless dreamer :D I wish there was a way to invent new and improved geniously optimized render theories and algorithms that will retain the realism but resolve to the unbiased solution 10x faster.

We need another Newton, Pascal, Copernicus, Archimedes, Pythagoras and (our friend) Jimmy Maxwell to boost the already genious staff at Next Limit headquarters :D

"in Math we trust"... Tom where are you :D can you do some magic and go down in history !!!

don't worry Thomas... Maxwell is going to stay full realistic and unbiased...
