But isn't this Xgrid in fact just a render management app? It lets you split up a render between multiple computers right? Maxwell has it's own system already for this so what would be the benefit of Xgrid?

...the only thing than it is important for me is OSX... and it's stability and virus free... I need to work not to spent my time to reinstall systems..
P.
P.S: ArchiCAD Artlantis Photoshop Illustrator golive and filemaker are my best software and all was born on mac.

Xgrind is not very efficient rendering with more as 5 dual cpu's on a single frame.
Speed increase with additional cpu's is not linear.
