bump for me, this slows my workflow all the time.
You decide you want to use HDRI lighting.
- Click on Background Channel.
- Select HDRI by browsing to the ever same directory that MXST doesn't store.
- Click on Reflection Channel.
- Select HDRI by browsing to the ever same directory because MXST even forgot the last action. Lucky there is a "Recently used documents" feature in windows.
- Click on Refraction Channel.
- ...
- Click on Illumination Channel.
- ...
- You decide you want to adjust the rotation parameters.
- Set 0.25 in box one of Background Channel.
- Set 0.02 in box two of Background Channel.
- Set 0.25 in box one of Reflection Channel because copy/paste doesn't exist.
- Set 0.02 in box one of Reflection Channel...
- Set those again for Refraction Channel.
- And Illumination Channel.
- You Decide you need more overall environment Intensity.
- Set 3.0 in box of Background Channel.
- Set 3.0 in box of Reflection Channel.
- Set 3.0 in box of Refraction Channel.
- Set 3.0 in box of Illumination Channel.
- After a quick render you decide even more is needed.
- Set 5.0 in box of Background Channel.
- Set 5.0 in box of Reflection Channel.
- Set 5.0 in box of Refraction Channel.
- Set 5.0 in box of Illumination Channel.
You decide another HDRI would better suit your scene, very common.
You return to the top and the whole mess repeats, because every map is different.
