DirectX realtime preview support in Studio

As the title says, i'd like it if Studio had support for DirectX also along with OpenGL as often DirectX can be faster and i think most of us have gaming type cards and all users should have DirectX support in their hardware, so the option to switch between either DirectX or OpenGL in Studio would be good.
Btw, improve the performance of OpenGL too. It's kinda slow right now.

I second this request.

yes it only comes for windows, so I don't see this as a crossplatform solution... sorry max but I agree only if this is provided as an extra option for windows, but not as an high priority in development.

No worries, i never said it should be a high prio thing. Just that it would be good to have as DirectX is kinda faster and permits realtime shader support in the viewport without any expensive hardware.
