Trinangles are better than anything else....

I know probably this wish has been here for a while but... this has to do with the Studio...

If there is an option to IMPORT the file from another application.. It is not logical to import without supporting it's mesh content.

When you IMPORT it's got to have a way to triangulate automatically or to triangulate before render. Otherwise EVERYTIME we set the scene we'll have one more time consuming task.

I strongly support this one.

Given that triangulating simple quads really is an easy task, it is
embarrassing that the OBJ import only supports triangles.

As the UNDO issue this is something that should be done as early as
possible during the implementation. Doing it now will probably be a little
more work, but it's the result of a design flaw.

If you don't take the time to make it right the first time,
when would you find the time to do it right the second time?

We can select a triangle.
If we could right click and say " split into more triangles"

Some times the imported triangles are very big, but when you want to texture and a triangle is in the middle of two texture areas, there is not much you can do...
Why don't you do this to your object before exporting it? I imagine you already know which areas you want to texture with what texture. Having this step in Studio means that if you want to update your original update, you have to again start splitting up triangles....

You can apply different base maxwell materials to different parts of your object before exporting, and later in Studio change these materials to more advanced ones.

well the main point is that it loses geometry when changing to triangles.. the whole thing shifts abit... if the UV texture is too integrated with the geometry that sucks.

So it SHOULD be a loseless automatical conversion..
