Are we going to suffer longer? man archicad, formZ, won't have bet that you could get plugin like that before xsi  . Are you waiting for xsi 5.0 or is xsi architecture quite hard to make plugin? or ... maybe xsi is just down on the list ?

I've got know idea why they did the Form-Z plugin, I haven't heard many people asking for and I have for sure heard loads of people wanting an XSI version. Damn what gives :)
I guess theres no programers that want to code the XSI plugin.
We should fine one.
Whats the beat they wait for XSI v5.0 for its new SDK !!!
So everyone with version4.2 won't be able to use it :(

I'll be up grading so it will be okay.

Hey Cyberjuls, Its my plugin :), nah i'll share it with you :)
But I have nothing to share at the moment.

By going off the number of plugins Next limit have released,
you'd think theres no one interested in the XSI plugin.
Seriously, how many Houdini users brought Maxwell ? :)
Just seems theres no programmers wanting to do the XSI plugin.
There must an XSI programmer out there wanting to make a buck.

Duncan,

there may not be many individuals to use houdini, but the whole of the fx comunity does.

when you have the likes of disney and sony aggressively using a package it usually gets alot of perks . . .not to mention a database of programmers to get assistance from . . .

btw all . . .NL did not write the Houdini plugin, it was not paid for by NL, it was simply a free offering from an ardent fan of both packages . . . so go easy on them its not their fault such a seemingly unused pacakge has a plugin while the apparently used program does not,

Hi Sideenimjay,
I understand what your saying, but I'd be really surprised if Disney or Sony,
used Maxwell. I guess it depends on what they were using it for, but for film,
it would be pretty crazy, unless it was for matte paintings.
The render times are insane for any animation at film res :)

I heard that it was an outside programmer that was coding the
Houdini/Maxwell port, I just wish there was an XSI programmer
out there with the same attitude :)

I know maybe it's difficult, but coulld someone tell us what's happening with the XSI plugin? I mean, is it kind of difficult, does xsi have a strange software configuration, or maybe does the guy who is doing it for free is lazzy ;) . I do not want to blame nextlimit in anyway, just getting some news about the plugin if it's possible. That would be really kind even if news are bad.

thanks a lot and keep going.

Duncan prepare to be surprised as i know for sure that there are some copies of maxwell at both sony and disney . . . .not saying any feature films are being done with maxwell . . . yet

anything is possible when you have 1000+ procs at your disposal . . . . . .

I find it really sad that programs like Form-Z (what on earth is that?) have their plugins and XSI being one of the big players still doesn't.

Maxwell looks really promising but it's a shame that one of the most powerful 3d packages is being omitted.

Please give us our plugin :D
