It would be convenient if there was a display option that would allow to have a null object / gizmo which could slide along the optical axis of the camera to set the focus. Being able to orient the camera and set focus by selecting a target object in a dropdown menu would be cool, especially if non renderable helper objetcs are allowed, just displayed as 3d crosses with name tags (independant objects for target and focus still better).
