after i read about the material editor, im sure its a pretty cool thing but
maybe you guys just tested renderman for maya?! i think they hab a prety cool idea that could be adopted from NL.

i like the idea that you can setup a shader in the material editor from maxwell but to integrate maxwell more smoothly into an exsiting production pipeline it would be pretty nice to export maxwell shaders into an propritey(?) fromat that could be loaded though an import shader like renderman does -
it should import all textur slots and values that have being created in the material editor so that all artist can handle the texturing and rendering process in their familar environment with all scripts etc

I don't think that in 2 years AI will be precise l[…]
