1. If you mean that we should be able to say if you want a high og low quality render with regards to noise (instead of a specific rendertime), I do not think this is easy to implement. I do not think that Maxwell knows then level of noise at a given time, that is up to the viewer to determine and greatly dependent on the scene.
2. From the tests we have seen it looks like there will be much improved quiality in the coming Maxwell version 1.0 (with the same scene and rendertime).
