In my experiements when using cinema 4d and shaders to accomplish this task. I got excellent results. The grass looked real. It involved the use of a two color fall off shader and a backlight shader to pick up grass fiber highlights. It seems that you need these two things to pull off a good grass render.
How would this be accomplished in Maxwell if you were to use all maxwell shaders would it be possible to just continue using for example Cinema 4D shaders for the two color falloff and backlight?
I understand when using 3DSMAX Trial it is best if you use only maxwell materials.
