For now, we can already tweak the image while render is going on, but that's just for ISO and shutter speed. What would be great would be to have the ability to open an mxi output in the viewer and then process it. Here are some suggestions :
overall brightness
response curve
filters
emulation of particular CCD or film (with presets for tungsten, daylight, and various flavors of color negative, B&W negative and color reversal films)
white balance tweak
etc.
If the mxi is some kind of enhanced hdr format, this should be possible, and should yeld better results than post in photoshop or any other third party app..
Of course, some batch capability is necessary for animations.
Even if all of this cannot be implemented in upcoming 1.0, I hope we'll see it later.
