Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

I'm not sure why it should fall upon Next Limit to ease workflow issues users may have that are related to another 3rd party engine. Doing so would required them to learn, support, and basically reverse-engineer elements of someone else's product.

I can't understand why someone would not want to easily use millions of models (free or not) with 2-3 clicks... Making a material converter has nothing to do with the materials... Just the model... and the time spent to make it usable in Maxwell....
For the same reason we want 3d apps to communicate through misc file formats (obj,3ds,fbx,dwg)...

:?: you mean you can't import an obj and get textures and colors from it's .mat file? (i don't use max)

the maxwell plugin for rhino has a function to convert and reassign rhino materials/textures (which are created automatically when an obj is imported).

sure it won't be on spot in many cases.. but if there are many textures (like cars etc.) this saves a LOT of time.. and i only have to tweak maxwell specific parameters after conversion.

if you mean to import v-ray etc. ready models,.. we are back at page 1 or? it is about converting one complex mat system to another ....

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
