Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

I guess I'll add my two cents. I'll likely mention things that had already been suggested in previous posts, and I apologize if anyone thinks this is repetitive. However, I think it's important for the developers to see which items are requested and how often. This will enable them to focus their efforts on the most requested functions. Anyway, here's what I'd like to see so far:

1. Material Editor:

a. Preview - It would be really nice to be able to see your textures while you're working on them. This is especially important when dealing with transparencies (I'm still having trouble getting transparancy maps to work right).

b. Texture converter - Since you must have all of your textures set as one of the Maxwell shaders, it would make life a whole lot easier if you can convert existing maps with the click of a button. As an example, bringing Poser figures into max each figure utilizes multi/sub mapping, and can have on average 20-30 sub maps. Each of these has to be converted manually to Maxwell Difuse. That can take a whole lot of time. If it could be set up like most shaders when you click to change it to Maxwell, you are asked if you'd like to keep/use the existing map.

2. Environment:

a. Clouds... nuf said.

b. Some sort of indicator as to the location of the sun in relation to the scene (I've been putting a crome ball in the middle of the scene to figure out where it is as a work around)

c. Shadow control. theshadowing for the physical sun feature is outstanding, but you don't get any sharp shadows as you'd get on a very sunny day.

3. Renderer:

a. Size limitations. It may just be me, but I can't get a render greater than 1200 dpi on any side.

b. Cancel button. This may be a bit nit-picky, but couldn't you put the cancel function as a button, instead of a sub-menu item?

4. Tutorials: (self explanitory)

5. Camera:

Duplication. Unlike a standard Max (or other r/s camera) I've noticed that when you copy a camera, it ends up sharing the same focal point as the origional camera (instead of creating a new focal point when the copying is done).

Well, this is all I've got so far. I just want to state that I think that this is an outstanding program, and it shows great potential. Keep up the great work!
