...But a material called Vantablack, being refined in labs now, , traps light so completely that practically none escapes. The substance captures a full 99.96 percent of the light that hits it, which the human visual system perceives as deep, textureless blackness. Even when it’s applied to aluminum foil and then wrinkled, the part covered with Vantablack looks just as flat as can be, with no discernable silvery creases. It’s eerie, to have the physical world line up so poorly with expectations.

Really cool stuff! I imagine it can be useful for photovoltaic panels as well. So what happens to the energy it absorbs?

Put the super black pan to heat under the sun, add some nice olive oil, break the egg, put it in the pan, add some salt and maybe some paprika. Bon apetit!
