He still had to calculate the GI (lightmaps) offline beforehand though around 10min each. So the lighting is still baked.
Still its very impressive, if only people would let go of the vignetting/abberation craze.

Yes baking has to be done, no Realtime GI.

If you've tried out those Oculus-VR glasses, just imagine what these scenes would feel like with the headset on... (the newer higher-res model of the Oculus would do justice to this model)

Got an Oculus Rift DK2 here and I must say screen resolution is one of the key cons of the device. In terms of picture quality it does a very fair job for games and tech. demos. But you REALLY miss those fine details when it comes to high-end/hi-res images.
The best way to describe it is to compare it to those old GPS navigator screens.

Also, had a chance to try out to Gear VR (supposedly, with a better screen compared to DK2) but did not see any difference there really.
