I think a few more details would be helpful/needed...

$1650? excl. VAT i think?

Custom/self build?
Which Apps beside Maxwell? Do you need a Quadro or FirePro?
How much RAM is needed?
HDD? Or only SSD for the workstation with files on NAS/server?
Overclocking? Yes/No?
Windows license needed?

Basically i would suggest an i7 4930K Hexa-Core. But it depends on the other components if this will fit into your budget (16GB or 32GB RAM, SSD size, grafics card, cooler, case)
Alternatively i would say a 4770K Quad-Core which will be ~$350 cheaper than a 4930K sys.

Prices from Newegg:

4930K, 32GB, GTX760 4GB
Intel Core i7-4930K Ivy Bridge-E 3.4GHz LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
ASRock X79 Extreme6 LGA 2011 Intel X79
CORSAIR Vengeance LP 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 low profile
EVGA 04G-P4-2768-KR GeForce GTX 760 4GB
SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB SSD
BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5 Inch HDD/SSD Mounting Kit
SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W PSU
LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
$1,903

4770K, 32GB, GTX760 4GB
Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Processor Intel HD Graphics
Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77
CORSAIR Vengeance LP 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 low profile
EVGA 04G-P4-2768-KR GeForce GTX 760 4GB
SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB SSD
BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5 Inch HDD/SSD Mounting Kit
SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W PSU
LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
$1,543

Options to save some money:
16GB instead of 32GB -$180
120GB SSD instead of 240GB -$70
A cheaper CPU cooler ~-$30
A cheaper graphics card ~-$100

but maybe you have to add HDD, DVD and Windows...

you mean for Studio? i don't know if there are any advatages using a quadro for Studio.
And i think today it highly depends on your software if a quadro/FireGL is better.

not bad i think... but how would this fit into your budget?

190000 DA = 1777,74€ (right?!?) for a used gaming system with i5, 16GB and 2GB GTX660?!? Really?
This is more expensive than the two configs i posted above which are both much better (except the Samsung 840 Pro) and not used!

once again...

seghier wrote:if i buy this motherboard : asus z9pe-d8

much more than $1650...

(and $1029/748€ is really overpriced... should be ~$500-550 excl. VAT for a new one)

For that MoBo you need xeons as i7 doesn't allow dual socket, I think. Good Xeon's are really expensive.

I would go for the 4930K six core... twelve threads... I've got 3930K and is really great.

for maxwell I would invest in that core, too. it performs a bit better than 4770K and with the right stuff around it even way better.
but right now prices are around 500€.

thinking of building one myself with that core.

cheers
