Could you recommend a nice monitor under 500€?

Hi, I'm looking for a nice monitor to buy under 500€ (low budget, I know). I'm not very picky with color precision, but would like something fairly good. It would be awesome if I could get to 2560x1440 pixels within that price.
Saw this one:
http://www.asus.com/Commercial_Monitors ... rs/PB278Q/ but I'm not sure...
Any advice? Thanks!

if you can live without 2560px then this might be worth a look:

i got this one for home use recently, as i like the eizo brand from work. this is their "gaming series" and priced as low as 250.- in germany, still very fast IPS panel, good color and 5 years warranty.
i am very happy with it

Hey, thanks!
Eizo is a good and surprisingly cheap option. I'll take it into account. I discarded it because I thought they were much more expensive.
My current monitor is a small 19" Dell and gave a good service for many years, so Dell is a good option too.
Also spotted this one:

To me the best choice at that price is definitely the AOC Q2963PM. Weird ultra-wide format but it's 2560px wide.
They are a relatively new brand and I was very skeptical at first, but now I've bought two IPS monitors from them and they've blown me away.

Ok, I think we have a tie between AOC Q2963PM, DELL-U2913wm and LG 29EA93
Similar price, same pixels, similar color performance,... only Dell's stand looks a bit better and has a bit some more connections, but my provider only has AOC in stock right now.

I have a
24" Dell U2412M (you could even go for two of these for 500€ I think)
and a
27" Dell UltraSharp U2711 (is this the older version of the U2713?)
I'm quite happy with both of them. the 24" is better with colors although the 27" is not that bad either for its price!

I have one and can recommend it. I can tell you now, 2560x1440 is a big advantage.

Is anybody using the new Dell U2713H? Not the HM one.

It seems to be a spiritual successor to the Dell U3011, in a smaller size and lower price. My monitor at work is the U3011 and it's easily the best monitor I've ever used, but then again you get what you pay for ($$$$$).
Which reminds me: Fernando, maybe you could look for a pre-owned Dell U3011? I know no one likes used tech, but it would be like buying a 3 year old Rolls-Royce.

From top to bottom (in price and features I think):
-I'm really tempted by the Dell U2713HM, which I've found for 570€
It should have similar performance than Asus PB278Q which is 510€
both with 2560*1440px
I think I will not go for anything more expensive than that or I will have to deal with my wife's temper.

But thanks for your suggestions Hatts.
-Then with 2560*1080px we have Dell U2913WM for 456€
AOC Q2963PM for 451€
or LG 29EA93-P for 412€
-And last of the list, with 1920*1200px, Dell U2412M for only 254€
The ones in the middle of the list seam to be a good compromise but they are as tall in pixels as the one I have now with 19"...
Or maybe I should save the money for MW v.3
Argh I don't know what to do. 570€ is a lot of money for me but it's a one time investment and maybe the last option is not such a big improvement...

570€ is very expensive. Here in germany the cheapest price is ~490€. I don't know which is the best price comparison site in spain.
The cheapest offer i could find is 509€

Thanks a lot Numerobis!
Actually I was looking in a german shop called Alternate which often has good prices, but that's much better.
Cheers!

Did you see the comments about backlight problems in some displays from amazon?
I don't know if this is a general problem with this model at the moment.
There are many options cheaper than Alternate

Thanks again. Just read them, but I've read many more good comments about it. Reviews are as trustworthy as people themselves. Let's look for more reviews...
Alternate has good prices for PC components but sometimes not so good for finished products.
