Unless you live under a rock you can't have missed that Maxon has now announced R14 with lots of nice new good stuff added to it.
Have a look, although the servers are pretty hammered now by visitors.

this must be the dullest update I can remember.. sculpting as a feature? really? That makes as much sense as Maxwell Render Preview inside RF 2013..

R14 is a big let-down if u ask me..

I'm having to use the demo because it will take until next month for Maxon to send my serials prepaid under MSA.

There are some nice additions (all of which I have via plugins or other apps) but your right that it is a little dull.
For most 3D the age of jaw dropping new features is over, the age of paying a lot for very little (not even fixing the bits that don't work) is sadly the norm now.

It is reassuring that Maxwell has not followed this trend - amazing new features included in point updates - awesome!

For me as C4D Broadcast Edition owner, not even Sculpting is a part of the new version,
if I had no service agreement, I would not follow the updates and have a look at new lightwave with amazing features for the price..
Now, thats very dull maxon..
Fryrender is dead too, I´m very happy that NL is following a straight way!
