Extremely accurate colors for Print or Video?
IMO the best monitors you can get are Eizo ColorEdge
http://www.eizo.com
If money is no object and accuracy is all that matters then my personal dream unit is this:

However I just bought this and it gets the job done, although somewhat less precise:

also

The newer Lacie monitors have been reported as having serious flaws last time I checked.
Best,
Jason.

Hervé i remember this question...
from a year ago or so... again i will, as Jason already mentioned, recommend you to get an eizo display.
they are industry top quality standard. (they make medical displays too)
i am writing this on an eizo with 17426 hours usage time

i have this one:
http://www.necdisplay.com/p/desktop-monitors/pa271w-bk
and this colorimeter (with Spectraview II)

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/nec_pa271w.htm
edit: but if you really want the highest color accuracy and money doesn't matter then i would take one of the Eizo ColorGraphic (ColorEdge) line
for me the 27" version was too expensive... and i don't need the last 0,5% accuracy

Hi Rv,
We have at the studio 2 Eizo's bought when we started the company in 2007.
It was a cost (1.600 eur each) but no regrets! After 5 years colors and accuracy are better than never. Really.
Its a good choice!
I have also a good friend (a famous photograph) who switched from lacie to eizo and he is happy with it.
If you want to see one, I think there is one at Lineheart @ Leudelange.

I agree this one looks very promising about its price/performance ratio. I just say never ever jump in LED ones. You cannot go beyond home cinema with a LED one.

If you are going to do it, this has the best overall features:
http://www.eizo.be/products/colorgraphi ... G245W.html
I have one the same size and it's still pretty huge, I can't imagine needing one bigger... and I can't see the point in giving up accuracy for size.
Best,
Jason.

i can say for me that there is no way back to 1920x1200... the 27" with 2560x1440 has so much more space
30" will not give you more space only bigger pixels and it's more expensive (and the 30" Eizo has no self calibration and the 27" seems to be the newer display with 16Bit Look-Up-Table)
