jeje... what I am really susrprised about is that the gray panel on the right looks like a gradient with the Nikon.. where the Hasselblad clearly shows a uniform gray..
I am getting a Canon 1D Mark IV in a couple weeks... after looking at many cameras... but I am still puzzled about the lenses... I need a 50mm.. and a 24 mm..

I need them to be sharp ..

what is the point of this comparision?
The Nikon is 12MP vs 39MP on the Hasselblad.
One has been designed for studioworks the other clearly not. The Nikon is a 35mm 14bit sensor the Hasselblad is medium format with 16bit.
They are comparing the greatest strenght of one camera with the greatest weakness of another. No point really.
Ben
@Hervé: Be advised that the 1D is not a 35mm format camera. A 50mm lens will yield a 65mm field of view. (Crop factor 1.3) What do you need it for?

Hey Hello Ben...
well I just found it funny the comparison... although I would never have thought the difference would not only be huge, but the Nikon image is not even accurate at all... well.. hehe
a good zoom for outside shooting.. like this one
http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/prod ... f_2_8l_usm
and a studio fixed focal like this one...
http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/prod ... _2l_ii_usm
But all reviews says it's over-priced.. do you know of an equivalent quality...?
Cheers

Personally, I think it's a gimmick. That's why it will be marketed to the low-end camera market. It's for bad photographers who need more options for tweaking their poorly composed photographs.

I think you're right Brian... that thing will be mass consumer targeted... and I also agree this will mainly be for poor Photographers like my daughter (she'll take a photo from you.. but you won't be on the photo.. or maybe your shoes.. hihi)...
It's a bit like all these people calling from supermarkets... "... Darling, should I take Danone or Yoplait yogurts..?" ahaha.. these new technologies make People having the right to forget everything but to dance & sing... hehe

I'm such a big fan of technology, but everywhere I look people have their heads buried in their phones. It's scary.

I've never owned a cell phone either -- I get pestered about it all the time... but my response is everybody is so connected today, yet we have so little worth actually saying.
That said I also haven't had a phone in years, I use Google Voice for the very rare occasions I need to make or accept a call.
Best,
Jason.
