If you are simply looking for a fast easy way to get seamless textures then you can get a free Substance that will do that here:
http://www.allegorithmic.com/community/ ... -maya-2012
This is for Maya users but it comes with 25 free sample Substances that you can just use the free
Substance player app for -- and one of the 25 samples is a seamless tiler.
Fast easy and free
Best,
Jason.

Huh... that's interesting. I've had Imagesynth 2 for a while and didn't know this. Shame really, because it's a decent piece of software... Plus I hoped they'd add a Normal Map feature at some point which I guess is out the window now. :p

Imagesynth has largely been replaced by Substance Designer and some of the Substance Filters for programs like 3DS Max 2012 and Maya 2012.
The free Substance samples I linked above will give you an idea of why this is more powerful in the long run.
Best,
Jason.

Can you believe I had to pay them!!!
You should see me with Maxwell on other forums, when I find a software I believe in I am relentless (It's so hard to find truly great products).
I've been a big fan of
SVG since the standard was first proposed by the
W3C -- So as soon as I knew Substance Designer used SVG vector graphics as part of the material design process I was hooked

Jason.

Yeah, here's an older wish list thread where I extolled the virtues of SVG support direct within Maxwell materials (about a year ago):
http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... 33#p323533
Obviously now I would simply prefer Substances to be integrated into MXED as this kills 2 birds with 1 stone -- and it would require less development time and money from Next Limit to implement
Best,
Jason.

It might not have been clear before when I said it -- but Allegorithmic (the company that makes Substance Designer) was responsible for both Imagesynth and Mapzone... those products have been depreciated because the Substance technology is far superior.
Best,
Jason.
