hi !

I've seen the water video too, but there are two things I don't really like about that scene.

1]
if there are such strong waves, there usually is pretty strong wind / air turbulence too. everything flying through the air just looks way too "static".
of course this would be possible to do with realflow it's "just would have been nice".

2]
I completely miss the interaction of those white water droplets when they hit the water again. it's like they fly right through the water.

( plus, realflow should provide a solution to true air bubbles too ! )

I've been intrigued with the realflow renderkit for maxwell, but unless maxwell properly supports particle renderings for mist and those water droplets perfectly, I'll wait. :)

Realflow is expensive, but Naiad is much more expensive. :)

it depends .. most of the code of naiad is open source.

Don't know about source code.
I just know that they sell it 5500euro/1year license. :)
