can anyone point me to a tutorial how to do those very cool slider thingies which Tom always uses, such as here in this thread:

that's such a cool and intuitive way to present stuff.

additional question:
is that icon embedded in all pictures or is this a hovering icon on a layer above the pics ? just curious how that stuff is done ..

I coded them myself from scratch (AS 3.0) but, probably there's an easier way. The icons are floating on another layer.

Ya, I was looking into this awhile back too. I'd hoped that there was just a tool for function out there that I didn't know about.

deadalvs: kudos to you for asking what we all considered some stupidity at our side. I didn´t dare to ask as I thought it was some common trick which everybody except the people in our studio knew

i wrote a similar tool to do this the other day.

After current project is out the door I may tidy it up and release it.

You're going to need flash cs5 to use it though.
