No matter what you think of Thea Render comparing to Maxwell, I really wish we can have some of what these guys are planning... This is from their site...

I think they will soon learn why it's not a good idea to make a road map public.

Well, on the other hand their clients know what to expect from their render engine in the near future.

BTW, I don't mind seeing Maxwell's road map.
I really, REALLY would love to know what's coming next after V2 release.
I just hope it's something extraordinary - that is why it's being kept in secret from public :D
Maybe it's time for a "I wonder what's coming next" thread

That's exactly my point. They EXPECT it now. When problems arise, and there will be problems, and deadlines are missed, all hell will break loose.

You're right, let's forget the word roadmap and concetrate on the features they want to add...

Looks like the new upcoming Thea release have fixed the problems with rendering lowpoly meshes without artifacts, like those we can see in Maxwell.

Read all about it here..

That's cool! Didn't Maxwell release something like that in V2...

Best,

Thea should at least have had the sense to accidentally "leak" the info like everyone else does, and then when they don't meet deadlines they can claim that it was just a preliminary 'in house' memo or some such thing and never meant for public release.
