Hi there,
As things are speeding up with Maxwell and technology I'm looking into the options of running it from a laptop (as I'm moving abroad). Is anyone else out there regularly running Maxwell from a laptop? Is it possible to do say a 4,000 x 4,000 pixel product render without overheating/taking a week to render?
Any help or recommendations appreciated.
PS is there a Benchwell for Maxwell 2? I'm looking at a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9900 (3.06GHz,6MB L2 Cache,1066MHz FSB).
Cheers.

Just make sure it's well ventilated when you render. Also, as with any computer, load it up with RAM. Dual core is ok, but a quad is better.

yes, very stylish...
too bad it's only a big dumb iphone without multiprocessing, with only 1024x768 screen resolution, 64gb max and fixed battery...
hopefully there will be some copycats with better specs and win7 in the near future...

It looks stupid, who would want to carry that oversized iPod Touch with them, It's more like a caricature of the small device..
This one looks more promising and useful!

Well if they could make something like that with the sensitivity and quality... and half the size of a Cintiq 21UX that would be useful.

I checked a lot of new laptops (jan 2010) and I have chosen to buy the XXODD 870cu.
