Anybody have computer freezing issues w/ Maxwell and Vista64

It's not uncommon for my computer to freeze up during rendering in such a way that absolutely nothing happens (not even mouse movement) and I never get control back so I have to manually shut the computer down via the power button. It seems to happen when a lot of memory is being used but I've run memtest 86 and everything seems to check out. I'm wondering if it's some sort of memory leak issue with Maxwell. Anyone else have issues with this?

Had the same problem on x86 XP.
It happened when I tried setting Maxwell's priority manually to 'High' or 'Real-time'. And there was still plenty of memory left.

Interesting. I'm running Vista 64 with 8 gigs of RAM and it only seems to happen when I'm topping out my RAM. Especially if I'm running a rendering and trying to do some Photoshop work in the meantime. I also only run in Low Priority.

I'm on Vista 64 and have never had this issue. If you are running out of RAM or a stick is bad, this may happen.

That was my thought as well but if memtest86 didn't catch anything it doesn't seem to be bad memory. One of the IT guys had me do a check for a memory leak with maxwell but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

I get mini-freezes all the time, but it always recovers after 15-20s.
Also: They're not exclusive to Maxwell, but pretty much any application .. I've never been able to track it down, my fix will be Win7.
i7 Vista x64 6GB's ram ...

I'm hoping to make the switch as well. Not sure how soon it'll be though.

I had similar freezes in XP64, all the time! so annoying. However after my move to Win7 64bit, my system floats on clouds all the time.

it made it stable, fast and much smoother to work with.
