i'm looking for a easy to learn game editor 2D or 3D.
there was a thread once where some engines were discussed but i cant find it anymore.

no i'm looking for one that does not require the user to have a phd in quantum physics

Unity is good, pretty easy to get you head around. There is also Shiva
http://developer.stonetrip.com/ These are two I have played with and I am certainly no tech head..
