Hmmm. Wonder if it's useful for making arch-vis walkthru's and flyby's??? Interesting.

Of course it could Brian. Any game engine could be a fantastic arch vis tool and it could also mean a big expansion in the architecture field. We've actually looked at quite a few options, one included a license of Unreal.

Yeah, we looked at Cryengine too. Would be cool to do.

Cryengine is pretty expensive to license. There are many other free and good alternatives now, you got..
- Unity3D Indie engine which is free
- Darkbasic Pro which is also free

The new Unity 2.6 Pro which recently was released is a pretty sweet engine and relatively easy to work with.

Unity is actually very cool. I've got a few models imported into it and ran around it, but with no luck have I got a gatling gun to work on one of our buildings :)

I worked for different Cryengine2 licensees this year and one of them needed several terrain visualizations. Its awesome and the clients loved it. For me it was a lot of fun to develop a workflow for this kind of presentation and my intensive engine knowledge helped me a lot to use different sources for a convincing environment.
Some stuff was under NDA but you can take a look at my website to see some landscape stuff I've made.

In January I'll launch my company which is specialised on this field. Doing some prototyping at the moment beside my regular contracts.
