Came across this Interview with Caustic Graphics VP on CGArcitect.

http://www.cgarchitect.com/news/newsfeed.asp?nid=4501

Interesting conversation on how this thing is supposed to work, but 2/3 of the way through under the question "When the card is available..." is a refernce to Maxwell Render.

In response to their comment, is NL thinking of supporting CausticRT in the future? With the up-coming V2 this might speed things up to a pleasant level.

regards,
Doug

Interesting to compare with ARTVPS which is the former hardware accelerated raytracer maker and now making the software accelerated renderer.

Haha, you guys are funny. Did you even read the rest?
If you take a product like Maxwell Render, which really does use physics to simulate an environment and not to say they are going to use CausticRT, but if they did, certainly that would be very appealing to Architects. This applies to other packages as well. Anyone who is simulating the physical properties of light, could really take advantage of the fact that we shoot rays very very fast.
They just used Maxwell as an example because it is physically based. :P

But I do wish it to be true if the card does what it claims! Anything to turbocharge Maxwell!!
