After the European Union smacked Intel with a $1.45 billion fine for breaking antitrust laws, AMD responded in the most mature way possible: By mercilessly rubbing it in on the front page of its site :D :D :D

1.45 BILLION ? Really???...... seems a little excessive..... and who gets that 1.45 BILLION? AMD? or the millions of people who suffered pain, misery, and tragic loss from having to buy an intel chip? Or does the gov't get that money so they can give it to the guy down the road living on social welfare while you work your butt off to feed your family because it's not fair that you make more than he does? Or does that 1.45 BILLION go to bailout large corporations who aren't as successful based on their (the large corporations) own faulty decisions?........

where does that 1.45 BILLION go? Does it go to you, the tax paying, law abiding citizen? Or does it trickle through the "ethical" hands of government officials to justify global unethical behavior?

it seems the justification is just as greedy as its cause........

Money collected in antitrust cases is added to the trade bloc’s annual budget of around 130 billion euros.
