When I saw our updated forum, I thought that we have more of it.
I'm bored with our smilies. IMHO, we need some better things like these ;

I agree.
One of the things why I prefer newsgroups over forums is that there's no fancy icons.
People are forced to express themselves by using words. How wonderful!

I agree, it's hard to express what is it exactly you wean.
But I prefer those classic ones and those based on them:
