a good proof that it's all about the artist.. and not the tools..
something I don't understand is the 900,000,000 triangles... instances..? I have no idea about Mental Ray workflow..
Anyway, you wanted to ruin my day... huh...? well you succeeded..
I'm curious how long time he spent to do the whole thing...?

In case of 3dsMax, Mentalray has mrProxy.
But I don't know about maya.
Recently, we can see these style images more offen than before.
I think that it's a new trend for an exterior like as saluto's style for an interior in the past.
Anyway, it's a really fantastic works.

Nice to know where the bar is set ..... !
I'll just say that the differences between apps is really in the ease/difficulty level in which you can get to a particular quality, .. all been said a million times before.
But when something gets to this kind of quality --- I don't care what app your in, .....somebody worked his ass off -- Period.

Hats off to him -- credit where it's due.
