Silo questions

Hello

I posted this over on the Silo forum but thought I may get an answer here to.

Thanks,

Gary

I am a brand new Silo user and have my first work task for Silo. Before attempting, I want to confirm it is doable and the steps to achieve.

I am going to purchase a shoe collection from Turbosquid in OBJ format:

http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPrevie....cfm/ID/455229

I then hope to do the following:

1. import into Silo and have the UV textures import with the file

2. add additional subdividing to the shoes with the "c" key (the shoes look to be pretty cleanly modeled quads).

3. refine the control mesh of the subdivided shoes with "shift/c"

4. save the scene as OBJ with the textures applied to the new mesh.

This sounds pretty simple. Are there any step I am missing? Will it work as described? Will the new OBJ export with the textures properly mapped to the new subdivided mesh?

I know this is pretty simple stuff, but it would be great for me to get a few simple task so I could start to get SIlo into my workflow. I have a lot of modeling and rendering experience but mostly nurbs and architectural stuff. Subdividing and mapping textures to UV's is very new to me.

Thanks,

Gary
