its been made in sandbox2 for cryengine2 developed by crytek.
www.crytek.com
the blur is caused by motion blur built in to the engine.

reminds me of the trick directors of photography used in the 50's when they shot a close-up of a big movie star..they smeared half a gallon of vaseline on the lens..or pulled a silk stocking over the lens

Let's see a scene with no movement so we can really judge.
I have thought about using Sandbox2 and the Cryengine2 to create architectural walk-throughs controlled by the client in real time. Just haven't done it yet...

i would be interested to know about the costs involved in that Bubbaloo. do you, or anybody else, of course, have any information about it?
i also thought of this when i had a big visualistion job to be done last year.

No, I have done very little research. It's just an idea in my head for now.

Real time? I suppose so based on baked textures or? For example the visualisation tool Showcase from Autodesk is a real time tool too, but based on precalculated ambient occlusion maps, that arn't fast calculated allways. I'm careful if I hear "real time" now.
