They are all very high poly in Maya format...maybe someone could download and transfer them into something we can all use...maybe .obj's, and post them?

There are gigs worth of high end models, textures, back plates etc...

Ok Autodesk Maya well good find anyway

Note it's simply not supported or documented from the Autodesk side anymore - nor is it robust enough to handle the data it needs too. FBX is the only supported alternative.
Also, Autodesk publishes the FBX spec openly and obviously advocates this format as the correct data conduit to both of their entertainment apps.
Bottom line is with FBX we should be able to give you more robust and reliable connections to Maya and others.

That's a great find. I wish I had Maya or a program that could convert the models. I would love to see these professional models.

There's lots of people here with Polytrans that could do this ... , but will they spend the time ?

You still need Maya, even with Polytrans. Does the license agreement even allow conversion of the files? Very nice of them to include so much, for the CG community, but only provide the models as .mb.....

Isn't there a trial version of Maya?

Is it too much to ask for someone to deliver these models to me on a silver platter? While you're at it, go ahead and render it for me too, mmm kay?
