Hi,
I was wondering about using a free website in the meantime while my final website is done (that one is on a very very early stage), I need to promote myself but I don´t want to wait until my website is done
Do you guys think that this is a good move?
If it is ok to use a temporary free website, can you recommend me some of them? (I have no idea about flash or html)
Cheers

You mean like a free template you can customize a little?
You might want to have a look at
openwebdesign.org. CMS's like Wordpress, Drupal etc. can be a nice solution as well, but you would probably have to work yourself into their interface a bit, and set up the backend (database) properly.

Thanks Adrian, yes free templates and free hosting
I´m checking your suggestions, thank you so much
Do you think that this is a good move while my final (real) website is done?

No clue about free hosting, sorry. Once i got a proper non-free host, i never looked back. At maybe 5$/month for everything you could ever need, web-hosting is a bargain nowadays.

If it's for two weeks, probably not. If it's for two months, definitely
Will it just be text and a few images, or what do you have in mind?

http://www.000webhost.com/
free webhosting with cPanel and fantastico (autoinstaller with open source tools like joomla, mambo, phpbb...etc to do your website.)
1500 MB Disk Space, 100 GB Data Transfer.
It also includes a free subdomain.
btw/there's some rumors over the web that says that 000webhost introduce hidden source on the websites allocated in their servers....

Does this mean that you already have a domain?

Hey KurtS, nop my designer is going to find me a good domain (because my country doesn't allow me to pay with foreign money: dollars or euros

) so I need to find a domain wich I can pay with my local money
Iker.- I´m going to check your sugestion, thanks
Adrian.- I guess is going to take at least two months

.
I just want something (simple) to put some pictures, some videos, and a little text, with easy navigation.
Cheers

) , the last year was $1500 but the "

president

if you want to call him that" decide to cut the internet cupon. So that´s the way that we need to live
