Help WEBSITE (making it an on-line store)

Hey guys... My mom has a website for her business (Wedding Photography), Until now, I have been the one doing her website / portfolio and it has worked out good. We also have a link where members could go to another site and choose the prints that they want to buy.

Unfortunatelly, that system changed and now is not as good as before. It's full of banners and it charges x3 more than before. To top it off, it charges you for every customer "click"

How hard is it make a shopping area where clients have a logging and password, they can see their wedding photos and buy prints? (and take credit cards)

is there any program/template that helps you set it up yourself??

thanks in advance!

When it comes to customer systems (money and personal data being involved), i'd recommend you buy a shop-system/template as you already mentioned. Figuring out the bells 'n whistles of secure server-side scripting imo isn't worth your time, when there are thought-out solutions for say $50, that went through rigorous design and bug-fixing.

I can't give you any recommendations, but the market is big and i'm sure you'll find reviews or can choose by community size (big = safe bet?). Hell, there might even be viable free solutions.

Good luck Leo!

can you link me (PM if you want) to your store.... Although I can't promisse I'll buy anything

I do know my requirements are higher than most on-line store, because we have to constantly uploading new events with custom logins/passwords

do you think it will work?
:D
