C4D OR MAX?

I find it very difficult to choose between the two.
Generally, I don't have big modeling needs. My models are 99% buildings which I finish with Revit and Moi3d for some small parts. To join all these I have to find a 3d modeller and I think these are my best choises.... Max has now a nice collaboration with Revit dwg files and FBX files.... C4d looks simpler and it is cheaper.
My problem is that most free content on the internet are in Max format and the plugins and scripts for Max are millions.
I don't know much about C4d so can anyone working with Arch renderings tell me if there are plugins useful to me?
I know that Evermotion or Dosch have many models in C4d format
What about modeling capabilities? Which do you find easier? I don't have much spare time as I used to because of my son and my job so the easier, the better.
Thanks in advance for any help

I can't answer for C4D because I have never used it. I'm a Max user just because that's the one I chose to learn several years ago. Occasionally, I try demos of different modelling programs, but I always come back to Max because it's what I know. I originally chose Max because it was pretty much the industry standard and most widely used.

I on the other hand, can´t answer for Max as i use Cinema4D.
Regarding the learning process C4D is known as one of the easiest programs to learn, and i tend to agree. It´s also extremely stable and you wont crash it easily.
As far as modeling capabilities and the rest goes, both programs can take you as far as you want to go. None of them are better than the other, it´s just a matter of learning.
I´ld suggest downloading demos of both and see which one suits your workflow best. C4D has an architectural edition you may want to check out.
If you should be interested in C4D i´ld suggest paying a visit to c4dcafe.com and c4dplugs.com where you will find both tutorials and plugins.

I totally agree with Brian.
I love the modifier stack very much.
But sometimes I envy some modo's features.

I think my problem is with existing plugins and models (especially free) for both apps ... I won't need much of modeling inside these apps, I want to use them for extra content for my scenes, mainly for vegetation and furniture and maybe some people models
I know that free max models can be found easily and millions of them but C4d are mainly collections of some 3rd party companies.
On the other hand, since my spare time gets smaller and smaller I should go for the easy one.
Btw, what about those Maxwell plugin problems I was reading about? Is C4d plugin better now?

Same here for C4D as far as a go-between your 3D modeling app and Maxwell, although you can model everything in C4D. Very stable program...the core program is less than $1,000. C4DCafe is a great forum...very quick and helpful responses....really makes learning the program less painful...not too bad to learn.
I don't think the architectural edition (IMO a misnomer) is worth the $, it gives you sketch & toon, an exchange plugin between Archicad and C4D, and Advanced Render. I use the core C4D package with the Maxwell plugin...have not downloaded the latest plugin which looks really good, but the version I have works great.
By the way, if you haven't done so, check out Rochr's website...it is incredible what he did with C4D and Maxwell.
