Bootcamp and 64bit

Any of you running bootcamp on a macpro with a 64bit (Vista Business 64 or sim.) OS and using (re: actually seeing) more than 2GB RAM?? It appears to be a bootcamp issue, but I want to check to see if anyone is having a different experience.

I'm on XP32 and have 4GB installed but can only see 2GB on the windows side (I have an XP32 machine at work that has 3GB so I figure it should work on the macpro). . . I'm thinking of switching to a 64bit Vista OS but only if I'm guaranteed to be able to use more than 2GBRAM

thanks!

Hello lebbeus,

As you can see in my signature I'm running windows business 64 using bootcamp and I can use all my 6 Gb with no problem. The issue I'm having is trying to update to bootcamp 2.1, no matter what I try i can't update. Everything else is running smooth.

er, one other thing:

Are any of you running a 64bit OS on a macpro from early 2007 (pre-octo cores)??

No, as far as I know only with early 2008 macPro is possible.

thanks, that's what I figured (though don't quite understand)…I won't be able to do this at home, but maybe at work.
