Hi my new Solid Works friends (lol)
Maybe one of you can help me out here, I have this simple sheet metal part and I made a small edge flange on one of the sides.
Now, I want to pattern this flange along the side with about 6cm spacing, when I try to create a linear pattern using this flange I get a popup saying "Unable to Pattern the selected feature Edge-Flange1."
My question of course is, what am I doing wrong and how can I pattern my flange

Hey Nico! Not sure if this will help but make sure the hole flange (even radius) you want to pattern is selected the use then pattern command and after choose your direction edge.
You can select the flange in this window your showing by clicking in the Features to pattern box and then selecting the flange.

Here is one way you can achive this:
Draw the flange manually on the required edge
Extrude Sketch created outwards:
Now Pattern the "flange"
Then Select
All done
So basically it looks like you need to create the flanges manually but before converting to sheet metal you pattern it (only seems to apply for patterning flanges)

Hey guys! thanks!! and Mike you too thanks for the input!!
I fixed it in another way, I mirrored the flange to the other side and all of the sudden now when I pattern it along the other side it works great!
now the next step will be to see if it's possible to do this on a bent surface
