I'm desperately trying to find a way to duplicate an object around a pivot point that i define. The transform tool offers a nice copy option that gives me duplicates, but it seems you can only select pivot points, that are corners of the bounding box. The rotate tool let's me define a pivot point, but i don't have the control (duplication) of the former.

Any help apprechiated, I hope it's pretty straight forward and i'm just blind :o

you can do it using the rotate tool. ...set pivot & choose the angle in the dialogue box & hit Copy instead of OK. ...then just press ctrl d for duplicates of the same step.
