Cool new(ish) texturing software?

Has anyone ever used any of the earlier versions of Ghostpainter? A new version is out and it looks promising, but I have never heard of anyone using it before - which doesn't often bode well. :)

I'm waiting to hear if there is a demo version, but it doesn't appear that way.
Anyone here know anything about it?

well well.. I really don't like the workflow at all... and you don't really paint realtime... Modo is miles better.. and way more simple.. :D

Yeah, the gallery is lame, but I think it's also older stuff so it's not done with the new plug in.

Herve: I understand what you mean, but I already use Zbrush and Bodypaint and really don't want to learn a whole new package if I could avoid it - plus it's 1/3 the cost :)

Heard back from them: no demo. Not very promising really.

There's usually a good reason when they don't offer a demo...
Let me guess, "No Refunds" either.

hehe :) , that's like going to a cars dealer and hear them say "sure you can buy our car, but you can't take it for a ride first" and that's not particularly handy
