I have an Asus P5B motherboard and have 3 Gb of DDR2 800 RAM installed. It's time for more! Can I use 1066 RAM along side 800 RAM or do they all need to be the same? I'm thinking of getting (2) 2Gb 1066 sticks that will be installed next to (2) 1 Gb 800 sticks. Possible?

Well, i'm not sure, but i personally wouldn't risk it. Why are you going with 1066s this time, are they more available in stores?

Aren't 1066's better/faster? I found the Corsair 2GB modules for $90 a piece. Maybe I should just buy 4 of them and fill it up. Right now, installed in the computer, I have (2) 1gb sticks and (2) 512 gb sticks. The scene I'm working on now is getting to be too much for that computer to use it as a render node. It has a QX6700 cpu, so it's a shame not to be able to take advantage of it. So you think I should just stick with 800?
