There was a faulty texture path that nagged users. Could someone please download the updated
scene, change the output paths to the OSX defaults, and send it back to me? Preferably as link in PM or email attachment.
Thank you.

You can

but it requires quite a bit of 'juggling' and tweaking to get it right, i'm about to reboot now to fix networking and sound in OSX, those two things still didn't work after a clean installation. And then i'm gonna install demoversions of some apps and see how well they work on it. I'll be back with more photos and a report if you guys wanna see.
Btw, Maxwell ran both fast and smooth in OSX.

And i'm back up and running in OSX again

yay! this is one sexy OS, Windows sucks compared to this. Now i want a real Mac!
So far everything runs fine and fast, i tried Opera, FireFox, Colloquy, Adium, Google Earth, VLC and Unity. No crashes yet.

Great! Are you also running windows on the same pc still? If you are, could you run the benchwell test on both OS and tell us the results?

Yes i have XP32 on a separate hdd so i have a type of dualboot system with both systems on my machine. Good suggestion that Benchwell thingy, i'm running it here now

but how do i know for how long i should run it ? time left is about an hour when i start rendering, but it's clean after like 5-10 minutes.
I'll run it on XP32 tomorrow and then post my values.
