Great presentation. The only part that didn't seem accurate is the computer part, where she says that all that changes over the generations is a little chip causing compatibility issues. Maxwell users know why they spend shitloads on new hardware
Word processing doesn't need all that junk of today of course.

What i got out of that video, is simply an affirmation not to follow the consume terror of today. Materialism is great and very natural though; It is the objects of our world that we enjoy, toys, vehicles, nice clothes, our bodies, all this helps create interesting experiences. I'd say that modern man is far too unmateralistic, and gets lost in ideas about the world, without actually playing with it, materialistically. This artificial distance i'd say is also one of the reasons for the short sighted damaging of our environment. You gotta be somewhere else with your awareness to fill your own place with garbage.

That is an excellent presentation but much of it is repackaged or repeats of earlier failed attempts to awaken the people. The decades are littered with similar efforts. Sad.

I am a business person that believes in business and entrepreneurship but until *big business* is removed from our government, very little will change. Again, the U.S. organizational chart has big business and religion sharing the top (a de facto government) with the "elected" governments below them and the citizens at the bottom. There it is; this is the problem and it is that simple. Yes, that simple.

This video had one gigantic and glaring omission: the amount of money domestic businesses and foreign businesses and governments pour into Washington, D.C. to make sure the process Annie Leonard expostulated runs smoothly and to counter attempts, by the Annie Leonards of the U.S. and the world, to change things. Money is the life blood of the status quo not to be be slowed and certainly not to be halted.

Ye gads, it is depressing.
