Hi,

Lately I have struggled to even produce a render! While rendering or doing anything memory intensive my computer crashes with the BSOD and restarts. Ive reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium and I still get this crash!

I used vistas problem reports and apparently these crashes are caused by a driver issue?

I've downloaded memtest 1.7 as From what I've read on the net it seems to be a memory problem!

Here is the test results

How bad is this? Do I need to replace my memory? If anyone can help me understand the error abit better that would be good

Thanks

Ouch, yes. Unfortunately you should replace your RAM. If you have more than one RAM installed, repeat this test with each of them by removing the rest to find out which one is really broken.

If your machine has been running fine for a longer time,
it will be as Tom said,.. if you changed something (mobo, cpu, overcklocking??) then you might need to change the Rams`s voltage slightly,
I just had a strange issue in a computer lab here, 5 new q6600 machines all fine but when rendering sudden crashes.. the dram voltage was to low, and a slight increase solved the problem. Usually these settings should autodetect, but sometimes it just fails to set the right values....

same thing happened to me a few month ago. I bought a new system, and right away run into problems, so I tested the ram, found a bad one, but the store I bought it from gave me new ram which was also bad twice! so I had to go back and forward 3 times to argue with them and prove that they were giving me bad ram!
haha.
