There's plenty of software, plugins and other stuff to bump up the size of images. But is this the one you're thinking about Leo ? :)

Alien Skins BlowUp is pretty nice. I use it at work.

I have never seen that one Maximus, it sure looks pretty cool! I'm gonna give it a try.

It was probably Alien Skin... those examples look amazing

Does anyone know of an "alien skin" free photoshop plugin

Photoshop does a good job as long as it is done in increments.

Blow Up is way better than Photoshops bicubic in my experience. At least so far. Combine it with some grain from Exposure (also from Alien Skin) and you're home.
No, I'm not on Alien Skins payroll... :)

I was actually quite surprised to find anything useful from them. I remember the time (ages ago) when all they produced was fairly crappy bevel and drop shadow filters. But I guess things change... :)

The best I have seen was the S-Spline filter in Photo Zoom.

you can download a trail version here:

it`s a bit pricy though.

Hey, thanx Leonardo!

Been here a while but have just been lurking in the shadows soaking up information. :)

Photozoom (what used to be S-Spline) is the best IMO. I used BlowUp as well (Photozoom doesn't do layers, so Blow Up is good for layered files). I have not tried the Irfanview resizing, but have tried most other options.

I have heard a lot over the years about resizing in stages in Photoshop but I don't find it works any better. I tested it out a few years ago and found no appreciable difference, but YMMV.

Hey Max,

I just used retarget, and worked great!!!

If I didn't have retarget, I would have probably come up with a different cropping solution and be done with it... but it’s amazing how it made it fit!!
