Moving to Berlin

Sooo... I start a new job on 1st of december. I have been hired by a graphics company in Berlin. This is my first permanent job in 3d, so I feel somehow drunk now... :)
I received the signed contract today, so now I definitely am on the move to Berlin, but there are only 2 weeks left.

I need to find a place to stay and so am looking for a small apartment, say 30-35 m², ready-furnished, so I'd not have to move a complete household.
It should be available for at least the next three, better six months... just as a first place to lay my head down, and place my pc in the corner...

Does anyone have an idea or interesting weblinks or contact... or or or...

Thx in advance.
Mesut.

-Adrain - Thx a lot Adrian. I'm very happy. Yeah, I was not too often in Berlin, but every time had been there, I wished I could have stayed... :)

Schaaaaaaaaaaaalke... :D
When you grow up next to Olaf Thon, you have no choice but to defend the flag everywhere you go, even though I'm someone who loves the game and not the teams... ;) But I'm positive about the colours... my boss (very nice guy btw) is from Hamburg and favours his blue white HSV, the big B with its grande dame also in blue white ... I can see the signs

glebe digital - Thank you :)

Maximus3D - Thank you too for your wishes. I hope so too, but I am really positive about this. It's a small team, I was there for a day of work and felt extremely comfortable among them. Felt like a little family really...

welcome to berlin :)

try this: http://www.immobilienscout24.de/

i know it's very generic, but it's serious... also popular is to look in the early printed weekend editions of tagesspiegel or morgenpost.

good luck! drop me a line if you are in town ;)

Sounds good mashium :) all the best of luck to you, but as always keep an eye open, far from all companies are what they claim to be. I have bad experiences from a few rotten eggs in the business.

Mind if i ask what you will do at that job ? is it archviz or something else ? :)

Btw, i got a interview next week on Wednesday with a 3D company here in Sweden. They seem positive so it might turn out into something..

Thank you Max. I appreciate your heads up.

I'll be doing 3d modelling-rendering mostly and additionally some journalistic work (that's my "old, real" education) on the other hand.
The company is doing information graphics for magazines and such and is expanding the 3d field of it... so I guess, there'll be no real limitation in what to visualize but the topics that this media-world provides. But I fear, that's nothing to be done with maxwell... yet... :) let's what the future brings.. :)

I press my thumbs hard (that's a good thing here in germany ;) ) for your interview. Good luck for that one! :D

Hi.

Just wanted to let you know, that I finally moved to Berlin yesterday (saturday). And that I found the WG, that I'm living in for now, in the studenten-wg link that numerobis provided. And the company that managed the transport of my stuff was found with the help of the link, that Markus provided.

So thx a lot everyone for your participation and especially Markus and numerobis, thx a lot for that info package.

And Leonardo: ya, it's ok... :)

Tomorrow (monday) will be my first day on the job then. Yihaa... :D
