Hi Def4d,
We are finalising work on the update, which will be ready when it's ready. In the last newsletter, you could see that we have been working on various features/ improvements, and the newsletter did not mention everything. We are completing everything and will release it as soon as we can. I'm sorry that I can't give a more specific answer.
Thanks!
Nicole

OK, Nicole, you understand that since it is a promising update, we get a little ....
So, don't tell us exactly when, just give us something to hope for!
Is it tomorrow? (Y/N) :
Is it in2 days? (Y/N) :
Is it in 2<x<6 days? (Y/N) :
Is it in one week? (Y/N) :
Is it two weeks? (Y/N) :
Is it a month? (Y/N) :
Is it 2 months? (Y/N) :
Is it 2<x<3 months? (Y/N) :
Is it 3<x<4 months? (Y/N) :
Pick what you think is closer

We are all waiting in exitement, but You just have to wait it out.. I can understand why nicole cannot say a specific date, even tho you might take it as an approximated date, then others might start bickering if they are forced to postpone..
It will be ready when its ready..

I agree, I was kidding, NL has made that mistake in the past and it is wise not to set a release date unless you're Autodesk... 2000 programmers and only 2 new features... Time for update : 3 weeks... time to release : next year

thc for the reply Nicole
I understand your "position?", but plz do the same for us, we're are very impatient to have it!!!
So pleaaaase give us a little approximation, it's evil not to know if we wait for one more week, or a month, or....
Thanks

Do you want it to work properly or should they just release it as is? Good things come to those who wait... Testing takes awhile.

Especially with unbiased renderers

Bubbaloo : i meant an approximation of time, not an update one

atleast NL ha a reputation of actually delivering the updates, unlike pixologic who promissed to give an approximated release date for the mac version of Zbrush 3, but they have failed to do that, and they have failed to ven give a slight hint that they are working on it..
So just be happy that NL actually delivers
- slow rendertimes or not! eventually it will be done!

I hope I worn't get too old before an update.

Extra features? I hope it's not a Great Studio Update with new interface!

I never use Studio, always the Maya plugin - everything I do is in Maya so why not keep it there
